Asystem is looking for an Art Director or Senior Graphic Designer to lead the creative delivery across all channels and customer touch points. This person will not only have great taste and creative sensibilities, but also excellent communication, digital, and people skills - and a respect for the importance of data.

As a ‘Day Zero’ team member, a methodical yet entrepreneurial approach is critical - balancing the act of finding and managing external partners, whilst executing in partnership with their internal team. Success in this role involves strong cross-functional partnerships with their product, customer, ecommerce, brand marketing, performance marketing, engineering and data partners.

The ideal candidate will understand the DTC marketplace, have experience creating and evolving aspirational brands and concepting and developing high quality creative across online and offline channels.

Overall:

  • Be the guardian for ASYSTEM’s visual brand
  • Establish and continually evolve ASYSTEM’s visual language using graphic design, art direction, styling and music.
  • Establish and implement brand guidelines to ensure both dynamism and consistency across all still and moving image assets.
  • Develop and cultivate a network of creative partners, including: illustrators, designers, videographers, editors, 3D / CGI and more.
  • Work with cross functional partners to ensure the business objectives are met. This includes close co-operation with the Product, Customer, Ecommerce, Brand Marketing, Performance Marketing and Technology departments to optimize conversion and activate our existing customers to increase the purchase frequency.
  • Understand and consider daily KPIs, and develop creative insights which maximize revenue.
  • Build, develop, and lead a stellar team of creative professionals.
  • Build and implement processes/tools/technologies which drive creative planning, execution and analysis efficiencies.
  • Manage the strategy, planning, development, execution and analysis of creative output - ensuring deliverables happen on time and within budget.

Content and Campaigns:

  • Partner with Co-Founders and Department Leads to define content and campaign strategies.
  • Lead the creative process, from research and concept, through development, execution and analysis - across all content and campaign creation including:Creative concepts
  • Pre-Production: casting, talent, styling
  • Production: art direction, set design, photography, videography
  • Post-Production: re-touching

Digital Channels:

  • Partner with Co-Founders and Department Leads to define UX and design strategies.
  • Lead the creative process, from research and concept, through development, execution and analysis - across all key digital channels including:Social media
  • Paid media
  • Email
  • Digital sales channels

Physical Channels:

  • Partner with Co-Founders and Department Leads to define design and production strategies.
  • Lead the creative process, from research and concept, through development, execution and analysis - across all key physical channels including:Product packaging
  • Ecommerce packaging and sales tools
  • Physical sales channels, including the ASYSTEM BeachHouse
  • Events

Education:

BS/BA or more in design-related field. Equivalent experience also works

Experience:

  • 5+ years’ of experience in Graphic Design / Digital Design / Art Direction, ideally in a fast-paced environment with a consumer-facing product.
  • Photography and / or videography skills
  • High understanding of aspirational design and creativity across both physical and digital channels.
  • Familiarity with strategic marketing campaigns.
  • Experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Experience from the DTC industry is a plus.

General Skills:

  • Exceptional creative skills and good sense for business.
  • Creative problem solver.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Good organizational abilities.
  • Extreme eye for details.
  • An obsession with fonts.
