Hearst is looking for a Junior Designer to join their team. Reporting to Art Editor, the candidate will work on the George client account, providing art work assistance across all aspects of the account on both print and digital with a strong focus on digital/graphics.

The Details:

The Hearst Content Agency is the content marketing agency division within Hearst. Its mission is to provide branded content for a range of clients from Asda, George, O2, P&G, and Princess Cruises. Covering all forms of multichannel content it works with brands to provide an ongoing conversation with their consumers leveraging the Hearst content expertise.

The Role:

  • The creation of visual assets for all social media platforms
  • Assisting on creation of concepts for still life shoots
  • Active role in quarterly and monthly social content planning
  • Assist with location scouting for campaigns
  • Keep up to date with talent and photographers
  • Keep up to date with competitors
  • Assist in creating internal and external presentations
  • Assist freelance art directors with shot selection post campaign
  • Populate documents and crop docs with guidance of creative and production team
  • Mark up proofs and work with production team during repro stages
  • Assist production on any ad hoc client image requests
  • Help digital team source images and assets

The Person:

The successful candidate will be trained in graphic design and have a strong knowledge of design tech. They will have a can-do attitude and be happy to help out with all types of art related tasks across both print and digital

  • Knowledge of and experience using the Adobe Suite
  • Experience with motion design is essential
  • Digital/social media savvy
  • Manage internal and external expectations
  • Attend meetings with the client for basic presentations where required
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Interest in art, current competitive fashion campaigns
  • Experience in retouching
  • Experience in designing for online (direct social experience ideal)
  • Ability to work independently under the direction of senior team members
