Groundcrew is a Brisbane based agency specialising in brand, development, apps and design. They have an exciting opportunity for a junior/mid-weight Front End Developer to join their growing team. You will be working with clients from around the world and be responsible for developing and managing digital projects within a variety of business sectors. Their preference is for staff to be based within their Newstead studio, however, they will consider the possibility of remote working for the right candidate. The right candidate will have an eye for good design and is driven by quality, aesthetics and efficient technical outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering quality, maintainable and performant code in HTML, CSS and JavaScript/jQuery
  • Building responsive website solutions using the latest technologies
  • Keeping up to date with the latest trends and techniques
  • Developing cross-browser and cross-platform compatible solutions (including mobile)
  • Willingness to constantly learn, adapt and develop

Skills:

  • 2+ years of development experience with HTML, CSS3/SASS & JavaScript/jQuery (exceptional candidates will be considered with less)
  • Experience with GIT version control
  • Use of build tools (Gulp, Grunt)
  • Keen eye for design detail, interaction and animation
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • High standards on the quality of your own work and willingness to share your knowledge, or learn of those with more
  • Experience with WordPress/WooCommerce/Shopify (exceptional candidates will be considered without e-commerce experience)
  • Preferably some experience with JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular)

Further requirements:

  • Own transport is required to travel to our Newstead studio
  • Hours will be 9–5PM Monday to Friday
  • Salary to be discussed on application
  • Portfolio or recent projects is a must and should be included with your application
