Construct are looking for an experienced mid-weight designer to join their team, working within their Bath studio. They are looking for someone who possesses a good understanding of design and production processes including: print, publishing, packaging, three-dimensional, photography, film, digital and exhibition formats.

You will provide essential support to their senior designer in Bath, helping to oversee their junior designers within the Bath studio. You will also work in alongside the wider design and project management teams in London.

We have creative studios in Bath and London who work collaboratively on a wide range of projects from branding, editorial, print and digital through to art direction and experiential.

Our studio is small yet fast paced, with a broad portfolio of clients primarily across the hospitality, fashion and arts + culture sectors.

The Role:

  • Developing creative briefs from concept through to delivery
  • Working as part of the design team, developing concepts briefed by creative director
  • Creating visual mockups
  • Creating brand assets for print and screen
  • Individually leading smaller projects and working collaboratively with wider design team on larger projects 

  • Preparing artwork for print and digital

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3–4 years experience working within a design studio
  • Good knowledge of print production processes
  • Proven experience in creating brands from scratch, as well as working within existing brand guidelines

  • Proficient in InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Experience with book and editorial design, as well as designing for web and digital

  • Excellent communication skills, confident presenting work internally and dealing with external suppliers
  • Good typographic skills
  • Experience in visualisation (i.e. objects and collateral)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to work proactively under own initiative and as part of the design team
  • Confident overseeing multiple projects simultaneously

Salary dependent on experience
