Someone & Others is a digital-first creative agency based in Los Angeles, with a roster of clients across the beauty, fashion, food & beverage, and sexual wellness industries. They are looking for a Website Designer who is driven to manage both large and small scale, interactive projects from conception and design to development and implementation. This person should be ready to efficiently work across multiple digital projects and with cross-functional teams. 

Their Team is made up of makers and storytellers that use design to bring ideas to life. In this role, their Web Designer will extend visual language, always mindful of how it looks and how it works. This person will lead projects into uncharted creative territories without blinking. They are a design fundamentalist, but approach projects with a rational and innovative mindset. They are highly specialized in design for Shopify websites.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to 
  •  Oversee the creation and production of small to large scale websites and designs solutions for their clients’ online presences
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of digital (web & mobile) design and technical development
  • Strategically solve the problem by bringing creative concepts and ideas to the table that align with their client's needs
  • Lead projects through multiple rounds and on-going timelines, effectively communicating with Creative Directors to shape and refine team concepts
  • Execute design work to ensure final deliverables meet their standards and client expectations
  • Prioritize multiple projects and deadlines, taking ownership of end to end delivery and client satisfaction (including QA process) 
  • Actively learn new design or technology related skills, then share them
The Ideal Person
  • Has knowledge of visual, interactive and motion design trends, and is fluent in simple executions that make big statements
  • Is a fresh thinker who embraces challenges and new methods of thinking, grasping the essence of complex design and user problems, and translate them to practical design solutions
  • A strong eye for typography, color and communication as demonstrated in a portfolio
  • Possess a positive, driven and problem-solving spirit with strong communication skills
  • Has experience with Shopify, specializing in most facets of the eCommerce platform
  • Deep skills in Figma, Mac OSX, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Sketch, After Effects
  • Additional tools are a big plus: motion, code, 3D, etc.
  • An understanding of core web technologies, responsive design
  • Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • 6+ years’ design experience in website
  • Bachelor’s degree in design
  • Experience in a startup environment a plus
