Join us and be a key player in our Brand Creative team. You will be part of the team responsible for the development of HAY’s look and identity from our global creative headquarters in Copenhagen.
ART DIRECTOR

Based out of Copenhagen
At our office facilities in the heart of Copenhagen, you will become part of a modern company with a unique and social internal culture, which we do our best to nurture and cherish. You will become a part of our Brand Creative department with eight close colleagues and be reporting directly to our Brand Marketing Manager. The position is a maternity cover for six to twelve months, with a desired start on 1 October 2024.
About the job
As Art Director, you will be working closely together with your colleagues in the Brand Creative department, as well as having a close cooperation with Design, Online, Product & Wholesale Marketing, and most of the other departments across the organisation.
More specifically, your tasks will include:

  • Creative project management in connection with photo and film production, including both planning and post-production
  • Art direction of photo and film material
  • Styling and art directing in photoshoots
  • Development and execution of creative concepts for brand projects
  • Graphic design in relation to internal/external presentations, invitations, digital catalogues, web & social media content, material for trade fairs and events, etc.
  • Dialogue and communication with external partners and collaborators
  • Graphic support and approval of material produced by external partners and regional teams

Role expectations

  • As a person, you are naturally passionate, creative and pragmatic, with an interest in contemporary design
  • With your previous experience within the design/fashion industry, you appreciate aesthetics and style while have an excellent understanding of the visual style of HAY as a brand
  • You have a flexible mindset, which makes it easy for you to adapt to a variety of tasks, working methods and situations
  • You are independent, structured, and used to handling multiple tasks simultaneously without losing focus
  • You possess excellent communication skills and can collaborate with people on all levels using tact and diplomacy
  • You thrive in a busy and dynamic environment, and at the same time have the ability to prioritise tasks and deadlines


Experience required

  • It is a requirement that your English language is fluent in both spoken and written
  • You are a competent user of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
  • You have experience in art directing and styling in photoshoots
  • We imagine you having basic knowledge of social media, since this is preferred within this role, but not a requirement
  • You have a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience from a similar position
