Create Ape - Brand Designer job description
This is a fully remote position, not restricted by commutes but with a preference to candidates in the western hemisphere due to timezone constraints (we believe in limiting burnout hazards)
Office hours: Monday through Friday, 9AM - 5PM Pacific Daylight Time (PDT UTC-7), this position requires individuals to be available for meetings and duties for at least a six (6) hour block during this window.

What we are looking for:
At CreateApe, Brand Designers are responsible for working closely with Sales, Marketing, Development and Project Management teams to ensure our clients and projects have strategic, seamless experiences to elevate our brand and optimize the client journey from end to end.
Responsibilities:
- Define and create a visual language as an extension of our customers’ brands (illustrations, icons, colors, typography, animations, stylescapes, etc.)
- Be an advocate for consistent and cohesive design throughout the organization and client project work.
- Contribute to our CreateApe Brand Standards.
- Educate others on design thinking, brand experience, and design-driven storytelling.
- Collaborate with Sales & Marketing, and other stakeholders, to establish a clear and concise brand voice, tone, and personality.
- Collaborate with UX/UI Designers to create and maintain a cohesive and consistent brand experience between Marketing, Development and Project Management.
- Continually iterate on concepts in an effort to make the brand relevant and relatable to our clients’ end users and target audience.
- Strong ability to prioritize work and resources across various projects.
- Effectively communicate conceptual ideas and design rationale.
- Engage in constructive design critiques.
- Able to work independently, prioritize accordingly, and iterate quickly.
- Strong communication skills without a fear of over communication.
- Ability to work in a fully, 100% remote environment.
- Wizard with Figma and Adobe XD design tooling.
- Comprehensive understanding of Google Workspace and the entire suite of standard remote collaboration tools.
What you need to bring to the table:
- Be able to work during our business hours (9 am to 5 pm PST).
- Be available throughout the day via slack/email/etc.
- Able to interface with clients and work with project managers on client needs.
- 5 or more years of brand design experience and a portfolio to back it up.
- Wizard with Figma, Illustrator or Adobe XD
- Experience with ClickUp to post and collaborate on projects.
- Ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently, quickly, and intelligently.
