Lead Product Designer

Job Description

Odin helps people to raise and deploy capital seamlessly

We envision a world where people can vote with their money on what the future looks like, and participate in creating it.

We’re starting by making it radically easier for anyone, anywhere, to launch & run an angel syndicate or venture firm.

We handle all the “plumbing” through one seamless platform - everything from setting up the legal structure for an investment vehicle through to processing payments.

We’re already trusted by over 7,000 VCs, angels and founders, and we are just getting started.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Founders, you’ll:

  • Lead the product design function: Take ownership of the entire design process, from concept to execution, ensuring cohesive design across all product development stages. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, legal, and marketing, to ensure alignment and seamless execution. Work closely with and influence senior stakeholders, always advocating for velocity and impact.
  • Develop service-driven, user-centric experiences: Approach design from a systems thinking perspective, focusing on the entire customer journey—on and off-screen—and optimising both functionality and high engagement.
  • Shape and influence long-term design strategy: Play a key role in product vision and design strategy, ensuring that all design decisions align with broader business goals. Steer the product roadmap by breaking down large features into manageable iterations, balancing delivery speed with design quality and balancing customer needs with business value.
  • Use data-driven insights and user research: Regularly interact with our customers and develop a deep empathy for them. Leverage user feedback, metrics, and usability testing to continuously improve and iterate on design decisions. Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies and our competitors.
  • Own and scale Odin’s design system: Ensure design consistency across the product, scaling the system as the company grows and embedding it within the real product, not just in Figma.

Your Experience

Must-Have

  • Passion for Design: Deep passion for Product and UX/UI Design, committed to creating impactful user experiences that are well crafted and make you proud.
  • 5+ years of design experience: Proven record as a Senior Designer or higher, leading UX/UI projects, particularly in 0>1 or early-stage product development.
  • Versatile design background: Experience across diverse environments (agencies, startups, or multiple companies), bringing adaptability and a broad design perspective.
  • Leadership experience: Managed the full design lifecycle, from ideation to launch, with a track record of leading teams and aligning cross-functional stakeholders. Strong communication skills to advocate for your designs throughout the process.
  • Responsive desktop design: Hands-on experience designing for complex responsive web applications like dashboards and internal tools.
  • Proficient Prototyping and research skills: Skilled in customer discovery and hypothesis validation. Portfolio showcasing at least one B2B software use case with strong skills in rapid prototyping, usability testing, and iteration based on real-world feedback. Proficient in Figma.
  • Strategic and data-driven mindset: Strategic partner, not just a do-er. Proven ability to balance innovation, user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility, using data-driven experimentation to drive impact.
  • Numerical literacy and attention to detail: Strong understanding of numbers, particularly in the context of financial products. Able to ensure data accuracy in designs (e.g., pricing, figures in prototypes), with the ability to spot errors that could undermine user trust or product credibility.

Nice-to-Have

  • Industry knowledge: Familiarity with fintech, or financial products, applying expertise to deliver impactful designs. Or experience with B2B design work.
  • Data visualisation: Expertise in designing clear, actionable data visualisations that meet user needs.
  • SaaS/enterprise systems experience: Experience integrating intricate workflows in legacy systems into seamless online self-service tools.
  • AI or workflow automation: Experience with AI product design, ideally using Generative AI, for workflow optimization and AI-powered interfaces.
