Superduper is a leading web3 entertainment company that develops incredibly rich IP, connecting to communities around the world through games, content and digital products. We are looking to onboard the first billions user into web3.
We are assembling a world-class in-house design studio that will set new benchmarks in visual communication across digital platforms. We’re seeking an exceptionally talented Lead Brand / Art Director to spearhead our design efforts, shaping the visual language of top-tier brands and helping to lead our design team to excellence.

Role Overview

As the Lead Lead Brand / Art Director you will be the driving force behind our visual output, from conception to execution. This is a senior role that demands a visionary approach to design, coupled with the practical skills to deliver stunning visuals that resonate with audiences. You will work hand-in-hand with the Director of Design to establish a distinct, cohesive design language across our range of web3 and digital focused brands, games, and platforms — all touchpoints, including branding, digital content, print materials, artworking and more.

This role requires not only an expert eye for design but also strong leadership qualities. You will initially handle the full spectrum of design tasks, setting the bar for quality and creativity. As the in-house studio grows, you will play a key role in building and mentoring a team of designers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

What they will do in first 6 months

  • First mover: You will have a pivotal role in establishing a world-class design studio from the ground up.
  • Design Leadership: Lead the creation of visually striking designs that align with and elevate the brand’s identity. Oversee all design projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and creativity.
  • Creative Collaboration: Work closely with the Director of Design to develop and execute the overall creative vision. Contribute innovative ideas and concepts that push the boundaries of design.
  • Brand Development: Define and maintain cohesive brand guidelines that translate across various mediums. Ensure consistency in brand representation across all visual assets and seek to push boundaries on customer interaction.
  • Digital and Print Design: Create compelling designs for digital platforms (websites, social media, interfaces) and print materials (brochures, packaging, stationery), balancing aesthetics with functionality. We have a separate Lead UI Design role here and a Lead Product Design Role here
  • Typography and Layout: Demonstrate mastery in typography, composition, and layout design. Develop sophisticated typographic systems and layouts that communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous quality checks on all design output, ensuring each piece aligns with brand standards and project goals. Provide constructive feedback to ensure the continuous improvement of design work.
  • Innovation: Stay at the forefront of design trends and technologies, integrating new techniques and approaches to keep our work fresh, relevant, and cutting-edge.
  • Collaboration with Animators: Work closely with the Lead Animator and wider creative team to ensure seamless integration of static designs into animated content, maintaining brand consistency across all visual media.
  • Work alongside wider creative teams to design award-winning experiences
  • Collaborate with top agencies around the world to guide projects in development.
  • Have option to work in the studio in Notting Hill, London with our Director of Design.

Must haves

  • Experience: 6+ years of experience in graphic design, with a significant portion in a leadership or senior design role. Experience with brand identity development is highly preferred.
  • Design Expertise: Mastery of design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), with a strong portfolio showcasing a range of high-impact visual designs.
  • Creative Vision: A deep understanding of design principles with the ability to create visually compelling narratives that resonate with target audiences.
  • Passion: A constant desire to be recognised for your work and strive for top design awards.
  • Attention to Detail: An exceptional design eye for detail, with the ability to ensure every design element is perfectly executed and aligned with the overall creative vision.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and ideas clearly to both internal teams and clients.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous quality checks on all design output, ensuring each piece aligns with brand standards and project goals. Provide constructive feedback to ensure the continuous improvement of design work.
  • Versatility: Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, balancing a wide range of projects with varying deadlines.
  • Portfolio: A strong portfolio that demonstrates expertise in brand identity, digital and print design, and innovative award winning visual solutions.
  • An understanding of web3 technologies and blockchain principles — this can be learnt.
  • A genuine desire to add to the design world and establish Superduper as a design leader in the world of Web3
